Phone Screening

  • A Human Resources Specialist reviews your application
  • You receive a phone call if you meet the position qualifications
  • A phone interview is scheduled with the hiring management
  • You should be prepared to provide an overview of your background so we can get to know each other


  • Meet the team for an interview in person or by phone/web
  • Review the Candidate Guide-What to Expect for more information
  • Any necessary flights/travel plans are arranged
  • You are reimbursed for any necessary travel/lodging/meals
  • A behavioral interview will include questions to gauge how you handle different situations
  • Additional interviews are scheduled as needed


  • If selected, a Human Resources Specialist extends you a conditional offer of employment
  • Volkswagen conducts comprehensive background checks and drug screens on all potential employees
  • You will fill out all onboarding information electronically


  • All new Volkswagen employees complete a new hire orientation to welcome you to the company
  • The orientation includes safety training, introductions to the plant departments, benefits, and lease car information
