Summary

Manage projects in an automotive manufacturing environment, meet and/ or exceed company goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

New Product Launch/Development

  • New and Series Product Pre-Planning Concept, Including Investment Planning
  • Specification Development for new and existing manufacturing equipment and tooling
  • Equipment Development, Design, Installation, Commissioning, and Handover to Series Production
  • Support in Process/Product Development
  • Continuous Improvement Activities to support best in class production system

 

Series Planning Support

  • Maintenance and Production Support
  • Coordinate activities with Production/Support teams to minimize production delays
  • Develop systems to meet Key Performance Indicators(KPIs), analyze data and monitor performance
  • Identify requirements for product to Improve Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost
  • Lead and Complete projects on schedule and within the annual operational and capital budgets
  • Lead and Drive Problem Solving activities in regards to process and machine issues
  • Collaboration with all customers/affected departments on Production, Product, Process, and Machine Issues
  • Lead Engineering activities in processing model changes/ investigations (Change Management)  

Qualifications

Required

  • 3-5  years job related experience
  • 4 year Engineering degree or Equiv.
  • Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer With Automotive Experience
  • Experience with/in
    • Lean Manufacturing
    • Capitol Project Implementation
    • Jig/Fixture Development/Implementation
    • Project/Vendor Management
    • CAD/Layout Software
    • Equipment Design/Analysis
    • Layout Design/Analysis
    • Process Development/Analysis

Preferred

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Maintenance system development/management
  • PLC programming/Automation Experience
  • Assembly Torque tools
  • Microstation or Catia Software
  • 3D Printing Experience
  • Ergonomic Assist Development
  • Automotive Facility start-up/manufacturing experience

Scope and Magnitude

Some travel may be required
