Summary
The Battery (Cell-to-Pack) Planning specialist will manage projects in an automotive manufacturing environment (Battery Shop). He / She will develop manual and automation processes to assemble individual cells to sell stacks/packs. They will support with continuous improvement projects and process/product development.
Responsibilities
Cell Stack/Pack Manufacturing
- New and Series Product Pre-Planning Concept, Including Investment Planning
- Work closely with cross functional teams including R&D to develop manual and automation process to assemble individual cells to sell stacks/packs.
- Specification Development for new and existing manufacturing equipment and tooling
- Equipment Development, Design, Installation, Commissioning, and Handover to Series Production
- Support in Process/Product Development
- Support Ramp Up of Series Production
- Continuous Improvement Activities to support best in class production system
Qualifications
Required
- 3-5 years job related experience
- 4 year Engineering degree or Equiv.
- Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer with Automotive Manufacturing Experience
- Experience with/in
- Lean Manufacturing
- Capitol Project Implementation
- New equipment installation & commissioning
- Jig/Fixture Development/Implementation
- Project/Vendor Management
- CAD/Layout Software
- Equipment Design/Analysis
- Layout Design/Analysis
- Process Development/Analysis
- Logistics Development
Preferred
- Automotive Facility Start-up/Manufacturing experience
- Strong knowledge of battery manufacturing processes (cell stacking, cell testing, etc.)
- Automatic Torque and Fastening tools experience
- Automatic Application of Liquids (glue, sealer, butyl, wax)
- Camera Inspection/Locating systems
- Cell cleaning & laser welding systems
- PLC Programming/Automation (Siemens TIA)
- Robotics (Fanuc)
- Microstation and/or Catia Software
- 3D Printing Experience
- German and/or Spanish
