The internship program at Volkswagen Group of America Chattanooga Operations is intended to provide college / university students and recent graduates the opportunity to use and develop skills they have learned in the classroom by working at our state-of-the-art production facility, and to provide experience and insight into the culture.
Summary
Volkswagen Chattanooga Operations internships are full-time positions (40 hrs/week). Candidates will be expected to be available to work during normal business hours (Monday – Friday; exact hours will vary by position and some positions might require work on Saturdays). To be eligible for the internship program, candidates are required to be enrolled at an accredited post-secondary educational institution or have graduated from one within the 6 months prior to the start date of the internship. Candidates who do not meet this guideline will not be considered. This internship is scheduled to begin in August 2023 and end in December 2023, with a chance for extension through May 2024
Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to President & CEO of VWGoA, Chattanooga Operations, LLC – Christopher Glover.
- Supporting the CEO and his team in daily work as well as in special technical projects
- Updating internal databases and compiling reports
- Supporting the communication among all local departments and headquarters in Germany
- Preparation of presentations for the CEO
- Organizing and preparing internal and external meetings and events
Qualifications
Education
Required: 3 or more years progress towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Engineering, or similar program.
Skills
Required
- Proficient MS Office skills (Especially Advanced in Excel!)
- Good technical and automotive understanding, OEM experiences are a plus
- Good communication skills
- Distinctive self-initiative
- High motivation to work in an international environment
