Summary

Supports as the Process Integration Officer (PIO) by defining, documenting, and validating the key business processes required to execute a given business function and aligning these business processes to appropriate technology solutions. This individual works directly with business process owners and key users to identify where processes can be improved and how the technology solutions supporting these processes can facilitate that improvement. He / She is also responsible for understanding the technology roadmap for VWGoA Chattanooga Operations and how the roadmap impacts the business processes that is under their respective responsibility. This individual works with other technology areas to identify and report on key performance indicators and how a given solution impacts these key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain Business Architecture documentation for transparency.
  • Work with the Business Process Owner to ensure that a multiyear lifecycle plan is created to support processes that includes milestones for all known system versions, functional upgrades, sunset, and successor system implementation.
  • Assess and Manage Business Process / System Requirements and Business User satisfaction
  • Identify Automated Solutions which support business process maturity or improvement
  • Analyzes and reports on Risk and opportunity costs associated with current process and system
  • Harmonize technology, where practical, with group system landscape and identify solutions, when necessary, which lie outside Group solutions
  • Identify and plan Solutions as potential successors for the current processes and systems.
  • For a given business process, work with the business to create business case documentation (with standard template) to evaluate scenarios to replace or adapt current processes or systems.
  • Facilitate the Acquisition and Maintenance of Application Software
  • Work with the business to facilitate the development of end-user training based on the business processes, which the acquired application is geared to support.
  • On behalf of the Business Area Leader act as the project leader in executing the Master Construction Plan (MCP) / Application Portfolio systems or upgrades through the change control process.
  • Ensure that the system implementation projects follow the VWGoA ITPO Project Management standards including insuring that all required documentation is current and accurate.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3-5 years of professional work experience covering related responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT Related field, or equivalent experience
  • Competence in documenting business processes and process governance using Microsoft Visio Professional and / or ARIS.
  • Strong project and process management skills.
  • MS/Linux/Unix Server Technology competency
  • Microsoft/SQL/Oracle Database Technology competency
  • Middleware (IIS, Apache, TomCat, WebSphere) experience
  • Experience with integration management between disparate systems.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Ability to tailor technical communication across different departments and organizational levels

 

Preferred

  • Exposure the SEP Software Development Process
  • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Certification
  • Any Microsoft Certified Specialist (OS, Admin, Solution Architecture, DevOps, etc)
  • Any Database related certifications (Oracle, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, etc)
