Summary

Our internships are full-time positions (40 hours/week).  Candidates will be expected to be available to work during normal business hours (Monday – Friday; exact hours will vary by position and some positions might require work on Saturdays).  To be eligible for the internship program, candidates are required to be enrolled at an accredited post-secondary educational institution, or have graduated from one within the 6 months prior to the start date of the internship. Candidates who do not meet our guideline will not be considered. This position will start in August 2023 and end in December 2023 with a chance for extension through May 2024.  Applications for later terms will not be accepted at this time.

Responsibilities

As a local intern the applicant shall work in the North American Material Planning and Transportation team supporting day to day operations as well as a special project.

  • Participate in invoicing verification/tracking for the North American Transport carriers
  • Support in BNK calculations and optimization projects
  • Participate in weekly operational meetings with the carriers to review performance KPIs and open issues
  • Shadow material planners in order to learn the ordering process and support special activities
  • Support in route optimizations during launch curve of a new model
  • Run reports and develop matrices in order to accomplish tasks

Qualifications

Education

Required for external candidates: 2+ years towards a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Similar Fields.

Skills

  • Proficient in English (writing, reading and speaking)
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Understanding of complex processes
  • Flexibility to complete assignments is required
