The internship program at Volkswagen Group of America Chattanooga Operations is intended to provide college / university students and recent graduates from outside the US the opportunity to use and develop skills they have learned in the classroom by working at our state-of-the-art production facility, and to provide Volkswagen Chattanooga the opportunity to develop talent for potential future entry-level positions. 


Our internships are full-time positions (40 hrs/week).  Candidates will be expected to be available to work during normal business hours (Monday – Friday; exact hours will vary by position and some positions might require work on Saturdays).  To be eligible for the internship program, candidates are required to be enrolled at an accredited post-secondary educational institution, or have graduated from one within the 6 months prior to the start date of the internship.  Candidates who do not meet this guideline will not be considered. This position will start on October 7th, 2019 and end on April 2020.  Applications for later terms will not be accepted at this time. 


Current Opening is in the Logistics Department.

  • Volkswagen partners with the German American Chamber of Commerce to help students through the Visa process. The student is responsible for all costs associated with this.
  • Interns are responsible for their own travel and housing accommodations.
  • Students must be able to speak English
  • 2 or more years progress towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is required

Pay Rates based on level of education:

Junior $18/hour

Senior and graduate $20/hour
