Summary

This position is responsible for driving engagement by promoting and facilitating positive organizational culture initiatives, activities, and programs, including coordinating, administering and leading activities and requirements related to the Company’s employee pulse survey (Stimmungsbarometer) for the Chattanooga facility.

Responsibilities

Facilitate organizational culture initiatives, activities, and programs to drive engagement:

  • Serve as an internal advisor initiating ideas across the organization that influence strategy, engagement, and a collaborative culture that supports a “One Team” approach
  • Confer with leaders and conduct surveys, focus groups, roundtables, etc. to identify gaps in leadership behavior, company culture and employee satisfaction/engagement
  • Leverage data to implement strategies that promote and achieve a culture of excellence and high engagement
  • Champion and promote an engaged and positive organizational culture where employees are involved in, enthusiastic about and committed to their work and workplace
  • Collect and analyze data to drive decisions
  • Define and lead a change advocacy network (change champions) in order to embed changes into the ongoing organizational behaviors
  • Work with Communications team to ensure a comprehensive communication plan on topics, programs, and initiatives related to culture and engagement
  • Support teams with focus on creating common tools, methods, techniques and systems that have significant impact on our company culture and employee engagement
  • Provide consultation and facilitation to leaders and teams in managing the change associated with cultural transformation.

Coordinate, administer, and lead employee pulse survey (Stimmungsbarometer) activities and requirements for the Chattanooga facility:

  • Serve as the central contact person and interface to the international StiBa Consultant Team
  • Plan and implement the annual pulse survey (Stimmungsbarometer) and design activities to improve results
  • Partner with key stakeholders to smoothly execute the survey (e.g., HR, IT, leaders, etc.)
  • Work closely with Group StiBa Team to ensure survey is implemented and administered according to company standards and applicable legal requirements
  • Coach and advise leaders and organizational units in the StiBa follow-up process (e.g., moderation of result discussions, action plans, work closely with OUs with low indices, etc.)
  • Steer, coordinate, and communicate the process (from preparation to review)
  • Prepare and provide regular reporting and tracking of action plans and progress of results discussions
  • Evaluate and examine the effectiveness of action plans and development of action plan catalog
  • Support experience exchange
  • Verify the quality and effectiveness of measures and promote the exchange of experience throughout the organization
  • Analyze results and action plans

Other:

  • Leads and supports projects and other key initiatives as assigned/needed
  • Engages in continuous improvement efforts in the area of organizational culture, engagement, and development
Qualifications

Required

  • 3-5 years job related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with project management and leading small teams
  • Flexibility, creativity, and capacity to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate fellow employees to action
  • Experience in moderation of discussion
  • Ability to take the initiative in identifying substantive issues, devise appropriate and practical analytic strategies, exercise critical thinking, and provide creative solutions to complex problems
  • Clear and demonstrated conflict resolution and coaching skills
  • Ability to objectively coach colleagues and leaders through complex, nuanced, and at times difficult issues
  • Competent in connecting an array of information in a way that allows one to see the “big picture,” and adjusting methods/strategy on a continuous basis to maintain alignment with multiple stakeholders and initiatives
  • Highly impactful consulting, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of HR data analytics and statistics
  • Ability to lead and drive organizational change
  • Strong communication, presentation, and networking skills, including the ability to engage in dialog with executive leadership team
  • Competent in assertiveness

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in related field
  • Bilingual in English and German
  • HR designation from SHRM, HRCI, ATD
  • Learning management IT applications (e.g., SuccessFactors) experience
  • Agile project management experience
