Summary

Our internships are full-time positions (40 hours/week). Candidates will be expected to be available to work during normal business hours (Monday – Friday; exact hours will vary by position and some positions might require work on Saturdays). To be eligible for the internship program, candidates are required to be enrolled at an accredited post-secondary educational institution or have graduated from one within 6 months prior to the start date of the internship. Candidates who do not meet our guideline will not be considered. This position will start in Jan and end in May 2025. Applications for later terms will not be accepted at this time.

Responsibilities

Support Paint Process Group with investment projects, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting, as well as support paint production manufacturing needs.

  • Project support – documentation review, commissioning process update, small project implementation
  • Communicate technical planning and issues with team.
  • Interact with Engineers, maintenance members, peers, team members and supervisors, regarding specialty projects and initiatives on a daily basis.
  • Manage daily schedule to key performance indicator optimization.
  • Ongoing problem solving with technical support to production group.
  • Organize special activities for trials and new process implementation. 
     

Qualifications

Education Required :2+ years towards an Engineering degree from an accredited University.

 

Specialized Skills

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, and MS Project
  • Good technical writing and reporting skills
  • PLC experience (Siemens)
  • Process and Electrical Schematics
  • Design of Experiments
  • Functional specification/scope development experience

 

Basic Knowledge

  • Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creative and strategic
  • Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written

Pay and Benefits

  • Junior: $18/hour
  • Senior: $20/hour
  • Bachelor’s degree/recent graduate: $24.00
  • Master’s degree/enrolled or recent graduate: $27.00
  • Ph.D. / enrolled or recent graduate: $29.00
  • Financial assistance for relocation/housing not provided.
