Summary

Our internships are full-time positions (40 hours/week).  Candidates will be expected to be available to work during normal business hours (Monday – Friday; exact hours will vary by position and some positions might require work on Saturdays).  To be eligible for the internship program, external candidates are required to be enrolled at an accredited post-secondary educational institution, or have graduated from one within the 6 months prior to the start date of the internship. Candidates who do not meet our guideline will not be considered. This position will start in Jan 2025 and end in May 2025, with a chance for extension through August 2025.  Applications for later terms will not be accepted at this time.

This internship position will support Pilot Hall Assembly team on projects and tasks. 

Responsibilities

  • Become acquainted with Pilot Hall role and responsibilities.
  • Improve and expand Pilot Hall Assembly standards and processes.
  • Develop databases to compile data from multiple sources to provide insights to the team.
  • Create/Improve processes and procedures for data entry / acquisition.
  • Develop reporting to support pilot hall daily activities.
  • Support cross-functional teams with problem solving activities as needed.
  • Identify areas of potential improvements in Pilot Hall.

Qualifications

  • Excellent MS Office Skills
  • Good analytical, conceptual, and creative thinking.
  • Exceptional at problem solving.
  • Experience creating access databases.
  • Experience writing SQL queries.
  • Experience writing macros.
  • Ability to take initiative and work without supervision.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Basic understanding of Automotive Functional Systems.
  • Basic understanding of technical documentation such as drawings, specifications, functional dimensions, measurement reports.
  • Preferred knowledge of CAD software. (i.e. CATIA V5).
  • Preferred experience with 3D printing.
  • Preferred experience with Tableau

 

Education: Engineering Student

Pay

  • Junior: $18/hour
  • Senior: $20/hour
  • Bachelor’s degree/recent graduate: $24.00
  • Master’s degree/enrolled or recent graduate: $27.00
  • Ph.D. / enrolled or recent graduate: $29.00
