Summary

The Project Coordinator is responsible to coordinate the role out of new Control units into the Production (Part Number, Hardware, Software, ZDC,…) and take proper action to ensure an agreed rollout will be accomplished.  Coordinate changes with JIS/JIT suppliers and internal with the Flash Team and technical engineering change team.  Lead regular project meetings for the build phases pre-series and series.  Ensure buildability for each project phase and escalated if required. Give recommendation how to proceed with vehicle build.  Generate project reports and distribute the report to the project team, upper management and board members.  Representative of department for project (1st point of contact for Control Unit Changes).

Responsibilities

  • Provide overview of release schedule for project. Work together with OPT and ensure Production requirements for future releases and considered in Project schedule.
  • Coordinate and inform Project Team (incl. JIS/JIT Suppliers) about rollout and changes.
  • Evaluate project risk, define and implement counter measures and escalate when necessary to responsible depart and Management.
  • Ensure required documents and releases are available in time – work together with EAM and Project Team.
  • Work together with Cross Functional Teams, OPT and EAM to ensure the correct Hardware/Software is released tom Production.
  • Support Project in case of buildability concerns.
  • Analysis of engineering changes for feasibility and efficiency.
  • Document buildability problems and define countermeasures (lead the escalation if required) with the relevant departments for product and process.
  • Ensure following pre-series build schedules. Ensure high quality in each build stage.
  • Actively work with other brands or departments to improve Software release process. Give feedback about process issues in Chattanooga and be representative for department/project.
  • Document the Data Management status and distribute regular reports.
  • Self-driven improvement of work environment. Enforce lessons learned mentality
  • Mentor for new employees and Foreign service employee (FSE)
  • Create integration and training documents for new employees and FSE’s
  • Define and evaluate new processes and project requirements. Lead the implementation of those changes

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors in Electrical, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or proof of similar qualification.
  • 3+ years of experience in Data Management, Software Release process and Change Management
  • Good knowledge in MS office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Verbal German language skills (Able to have conversations)
  • Willing to work flexible hours (incl. weekend and overtime)
  • Experience with Automotive Project Management

 

Preferred

  • 5+ years job related experience
  • Good understanding of change management and its implications
  • Decision making and problem solving skills
  • German and Spanish language skills
  • Able to manage and lead CFT groups
