The internship program at Volkswagen Group of America Chattanooga Operations is intended to provide college / university students and recent graduates the opportunity to use and develop skills they have learned in the classroom by working at our state-of-the-art production facility, and to provide Volkswagen Chattanooga the opportunity to develop talent for potential future entry-level positions.

Summary

Our internships are full-time positions (40 hours/week). Candidates will be expected to be available to work during normal business hours (Monday – Friday; exact hours will vary by position and some positions might require work on Saturdays). To be eligible for the internship program, candidates are required to be enrolled at an accredited post-secondary educational institution or have graduated from one within the 6 months prior to the start date of the internship. Candidates who do not meet our guideline will not be considered. This position will start in January and end in May 2024 with a chance for extension through August 2024. Applications for later terms will not be accepted at this time.

Responsibilities

-    Provides feedback to the plant in regards containment and problem root cause analysis for issues caused by suppliers.
-    Tracks suppliers' performance in regard to series issues (0-KM failures resolution) and projects development (new Product and Process release, sampling).
-    Support analysis and problem resolution of suppliers related field complaints.
-    Issues components Technical Factor for service parts replaced in warranty.
-    Intern: keep weekly track and support creating new department KPIs (focus on SQEs skills development and training).

Qualifications

Education

  • Required:  2+ years towards an Engineering degree from an accredited University. Education emphasis in computer science/data analytics preferred.

  • Creativity with presentations/diagrams/charts

Pay

  • Pay based on level of education (Junior $18/hour, Senior and Graduate $20/hour)
  • Financial assistance for relocation/housing not provided
